Courtney Kane is a Canadian country singer-songwriter whose passion for music has fueled her from the start. Born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, she began her journey performing in local bars before landing major performance opportunities, including opening for Kingston favourites The Abrams in 2022 and JUNO- and CCMA-winning group James Barker Band at the Tweed Stampede in 2024, where she played for more than 7,000 people.
Courtney has collaborated with notable names in Canadian country music, including Jay Smith, Abby Stewart, Sam Davs, Andre Besel, Paige Rutledge, Jessica Sole, and Wes Mack. Her love for performing has taken her to a wide range of stages—from intimate bar gigs and karaoke contests to fundraisers and sporting events, where she has sung the National Anthem at countless games across Ontario.
Her musical roots trace back to age five, when she began piano lessons, later teaching herself guitar at 12. At 13, she made her live debut singing an a cappella version of Taylor Swift’s “Mean” for 600 people at her elementary school talent show. Always eager to grow, Courtney moved to Tennessee to study at Dark Horse Institute in Franklin, where she strengthened her songwriting and music business skills under industry professionals.
Her debut single, “Revenge Song,” arriving Summer 2026, blends early-2000s country with the powerhouse energy of artists like Miranda Lambert, The Chicks, Carrie Underwood, Loretta Lynn, Taylor Swift, and The Pistol Annies. Written with Angelina Devonn and PG Banker, and mixed/mastered by GRAMMY winner Dave Hagen, the track was recorded at Dark Horse Recording.
Courtney is driven by connection as much as craft: “If you love country music as much as I do, I think we’ll get along just fine!”
